WA State Legislature, King County Sheriff and Prosecutor Team Up to Slap Voters in the Face

WA Lawmakers, King County Sheriff John Urquhart and King County Prosecutor Dan Satterberg Disregard Will of Voters, Attempt to Shut Down Medical Marijuana Dispensaries

Over at The Joint Blog, there was a post last night about King County Sheriff John Urquhart and King County Prosecutor Dan Satterberg holding a press conference where they are threatening to shut down medical marijuana dispensaries.

Apparently the State of Washington is making so much money from the sale of 'recreational marijuana', that they want to go against the will of the voters who clearly voted many years ago to approve medical marijuana for anyone who needs it.  Closing MMJ dispensaries in Washington state will force patients to purchase their medicine from a 'recreational marijuana' store, which are generally overpriced and that charge a state sales tax.  Legally, sales tax cannot be charged on medicine.

See the news conference here and let us know what YOU think in the comments below.

Washington State lawmakers earlier passed legislation to close down medical marijuana dispensaries in 2016 - so that they could their sales tax.

Our prediction is that most MMJ patients will be forced to purchase their medicine on the black market - and that both Urquhart, Satterburg will be voted out of office asap.  They are both a couple of stiffs and not people who should have any authority in our lives.  Don't they have anything better to do than pick on people who need their medicine?
